INDEX OF POEMS
FLIGHT OF THE EAGLE
I can soar beyond voluminous clouds...
Swoop boldly to the valley below;
Hover above a mountain peak,
Where I want is wherever I go!
Mustard patches on pastures of green,
Tree tops and rolling hills...
Somewhere between the sky and the earth
I seek and find my thrills!
A gust of wind hurls me upwards...
A moment to drift and sing...
Riding the thermals, I wait for the shift...
And wonder what next will it
bring!
Once more I am wafted to breathtaking heights,
Expanding the view that I see!
All is so calm in this beautiful sight...
Behold! Lake-blue waters beneath me!
Sunlit reflections challenge my soul,
A vision of heaven it brings...
One thing is certain, I'll
come back tomorrow,
And capture the wind with my wings!

FLIGHT OF THE SOUL
I can soar beyond imaginations' reach,
Swoop boldly to encounter my fears;
Hover above an obstacles' peak,
Where I want is where I go!
Compassionate faces with smiles that glean,
Hearts that love as they will...
Somewhere between the sky and the earth
I seek and find my thrill!
The spirit of life hurls me upwards...
A moment to drift and sing...
Riding the wind, I learn patience,
And wonder what fate may bring!
Once more, I am wafted to breathtaking heights,
Expanding the view that I see!
All is so calm in this beautiful sight...
Behold! Gods' sweet angels beneath me!
Brilliant reflections challenge my soul,
A vision of heaven it brings...
One thing is certain, I'll
come back tomorrow,
And capture my soul as it sings!

ANGELS OF PEACE
When hearts disagree
Steadfast in their plight
I pray that you will intervene!
Show forth the chords of harmony in flight
Make known thy presence with peace.
Let the tempest
Stir up his storm...
And the kindly man stand
strong...
Take them gently by the arm...
And usher them along.
When hearts disagree
Steadfast in their plight
Angels of Peace, Intervene!
Play the chords of harmonious flight!
Shine on their sorrows with your heavenly light!
Let the tempest fall
From the storm that he
stirs...
Let the kindliest man stand strong.
And when the wind blows again, through the meadow
and glen,
Let it sing not a fugue, but a song!

TIME...
Life is precious,
Though at times, confusing...
But, given time...
Looked back upon...
Reflected on,
Brings peace
And contentment
From a wiser
Point of view!

SCOUT ANGEL
There was war in the streets of
We scrambled for food and places to stay.
Soldiers trained where our fields once grew...
And a Scout was the only friend that we knew.
Buildings were empty; the floors were bare...
Our only possession was cold, thin air.
We hid in the shadows and slept when we could...
When the Scout directed us to move, we would.
Down the streets in single
file...
Blend with the enemy, or hide in a pile!
Once discovered, we'd be on the run...
Ducking and dodging the rays of the Sun.
Safe in another cold building we'd stay...
Huddling and starving for another day.
The children grew restless and wanted to play...
Keeping them quiet was a job without pay.
But the Scout would return with knowledge and
food...
It was for his safety we always prayed.
We knew, but for him, the price we would pay...
There was no peace in the streets of

WTC CRASH AWAKENS GIANT!
What is it that you want
from us
Ye terrorists of the World?
Our Gold? Our
Wealth?
Our Children's blood?
What would you have us do?
We gave you rights,
And took you in...
We lodged, and fed, and clothed you.
We turned our heads,
You nodded back...
But trust was not two-fold!
And now, my friends,
You ask of us...
Do not invoke a war!
We'll pray for you - Shidad-Shidu
And all the people like you...
For you have led them all to their deaths,
And we'll be there to bury you!
